Tengku Razaleigh, better known as Ku Li, told this to reporters after visiting the site for the construction of houses for flood victims in Kampung Batu Papan Dua, here today.

“The Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Najib Razak) has provided a budget that is balanced for all,” he said.

The 2016 Budget themed of “Prospering the Rakyat” tabled by Najib at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday involves an expenditure of  RM267.2 billion as compared to RM260.7 billion in 2015.

On the construction of houses for the flood victims, Tengku Razaleigh said the government had approved an allocation of more than RM6 million.

However, he said he was disappointed with the construction process which was delayed due to too many conditions imposed by certain parties.

“Our proposal was to build 100 units, but permission was only given for 40 because of certain hindrances. I will work to ensure they can be completed before this December,” he said.

Also present were Paloh assemblyman Datuk Nozula Mat Diah, Galas assemblyman Ab Aziz Yusof and Gua Musang Umno Youth head Sheikh Razali Sheikh Hamat. — Bernama
