KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 — There has been much improvement in the air quality in the country as compared to the last couple of months with no area recording an Air Pollutants Index (API) reading at the unhealthy level as at 7pm today.
According to the Department of Environment (DOE), 35 areas had API readings at the moderate level whereas the rest of the country had good air quality.
Muar and Pasir Gudang in Johor; Bandaraya Melaka and Bukit Rambai in Melaka; Nilai and Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan; Seri Manjung, Perak; Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang; Kuching, Sarawak; Banting, Port Klang, Shah Alam in Selangor; Batu Muda in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya were among the areas that had moderate air quality.
