PUTRAJAYA, Oct 6 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy chief commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull has denied the report that a member of Parliament (MP) has been called to assist in investigations on abuse of power.
“This is not true,” he told Bernama here in a WhatsApp message tonight.
Mohd Shukri said the MACC had not called any MP who held a position in a
government-linked company (GLC) to give a statement.
It was reported that an MP had been called by the MACC for allegedly abusing his position as director in a GLC.
The report had quoted an MACC official who said: “Investigations are being conducted. No MP has been detained.” — Bernama
