KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4 — Bersih 2.0 secretariat member Mandeep Singh today said he and several others will be facing charges for their participation in the #Kitalawan rally held on March 28 this year.

In a Facebook post today, he said that he had been contacted by the investigating officer from Dang Wangi who informed him that along with himself, Bersih 2.0 chair Maria Chin Abdullah, PKR strategy director Sim Tze Tzin and #Kitalawan secretariat member Fariz Musa will be charged under Section 4 (2) (C) of the Peaceful Assembly Act (PAA) 2012 for participating and organising a street protest.

“We will have to appear in court on September 9, 2015 at 8 in the morning at the Jalan Duta Court,” he wrote.

“We’ve been caught, remanded, and investigated, now we are dragged to court. Bring it on Najib Rosmah,” he said referring to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

The #Kitalawan rally earlier this year was held on the same day of the wedding reception of Najib and Rosmah’s daughter Nooryana Najwa.

The demonstration saw hundreds march to Sogo in the city here, whom continued to march towards the Petronas Twin Towers and the adjacent Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), where the wedding reception was held.

#Kitalawan and was organised following the conviction of PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for sodomy charges.
