JOHOR BARU, Aug 25 — The Johor Health Department has started investigations into a complaint where a doctor allegedly took a picture while attending to a patient in labour.

The doctor is seen showing the ‘peace sign’, with the patient’s private parts in clear view.

The post which first appeared on Kerabu Bersuara Group’s facebook page has since gone viral on social media.

“We have already identified the doctor and the hospital concerned. Investigation (sic) are underway and we will decide on the next course of action,” Johor Health and Environment committee chairman Datuk Ayub Rahmat said, as quoted by The Star when contacted yesterday.

The Star also reported that the doctor, believed to be in her 20s, came under fire as Facebook users criticised her actions for disrespecting the patient’s privacy.
