KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 — Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) has asked the police to investigate the ‘Malaysia Daily Opinion’ blog which it said made allegations about attempts to topple the government.

PCM vice-chairman Datuk Huan Cheng Guan said the blog had named several prominent figures including former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The article entitled ‘Is Dr Mahathir the lead character In Malaysian House of Cards?’ also alleged the involvement of ‘The Edge’ media group owner Tong Kooi Ong and PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah, among others.

“The content of the blog is very serious and unbelievable, causing me to make a police report so that they can investigate,” Huan told reporters after making the report at the Dang Wangi District Police headquarters here today.

A check by Bernama found that the new blog, malaysiadailyopinion.com, only had two articles dated Aug 19 which had yet to draw comments.
