Khalid said the police do not encourage politicians to hold their meetings in Malaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 — Police have received no fewer than three reports over a purported conspiracy to unseat Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak that was revealed by Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Saturday.

According to state news outlet Bernama, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed this during an event at the Bukit Aman federal police headquarters today.

During the weekend, the deputy prime minister identified a senior Umno member as the individual behind the claimed plot to remove the prime minister using statutory declarations (SD) to approximate a vote of no confidence.
