LABUAN, July 24 ― The police arrested three men suspected of being drug traffickers following a scuffle near a warehouse in Kg Saguking here yesterday.

Labuan Police chief Supt Adzhar Othman said today the men, aged 32, 34 and 41, were caught with a plastic packet containing 13.43 grammes of syabu.

They had been waiting in a Toyota Vios car near the Sebor warehouse when a police narcotics team approached them at 4.50pm, he said.

They were involved in a scuffle with the policemen and tried to escape, he said, adding that one of them threw a plastic packet under the car.

The police team arrested them, he said, adding that they had been remanded for seven days for investigation under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. ― Bernama
