KUALA LUMPUR, July 22 — Ramesh Rao Krishnan Naidu, the man responsible for the recent video recordings against whistleblower site Sarawak Report (SR), conceded today he had made an error in uploading the picture of a man he claimed to have forged documents related to 1 Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

However, the Pertubuhan Minda and Sosial Prihatin chairman whose outfit is seen as pro-Barisan Nasional (BN), insisted the London-based forger named as James Steward Stephen was a real person.

“We might have overlooked how he looks. We were rushing. We might have made a mistake but there is communication between them that happened on July 3rd this year,” Ramesh told a news conference at his office here.

In a second video featuring SR accuser Lester Melanyi, a photo of a British railway sales manager by the name of James Steward had been included as the forger.

Ramesh also announced today that he will be releasing a third video instalment next week to disprove London-based whistleblower site SR’s allegations against 1MDB.

He added that the Sarawakian will also be present in person with their big reveal next week, and hinted that the video would reveal evidence to prove he had been working with SR and its founder Clare Rewcastle Brown, contrary to her denials.

“We are going to have a pc together with Melanyi,” Ramesh said, using the abbreviation for press conference.

He said the date for the next joint news conference had yet to be set although he added that Lester is currently in the city to meet with the police at Bukit Aman today.

“We will be revealing the video evidence that he was working with Clare,” he told reporters at his office here.

Ramesh insisted that Lester had worked with Rewcastle Brown and had purchased flight tickets for the former Sarawak Tribune editor to travel to London for their meetings.

“If Lester is bankrupt and useless, why would she use her personal credit card to buy him and his family tickets to London? We have proof of that and we will be revealing it next week, when Lester is here,” Ramesh said.

Last Thursday, Lester admitted to Malay Mail Online that he was paid to expose a grand conspiracy ostensibly involving Malaysia’s opposition and Rewcastle-Brown to unseat Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak using purportedly doctored leaks of documents on 1MDB.

Lester’s admission came a day after BN’s strategic communications director Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan told reporters that he had evidence that SR and its editors had fabricated the alleged document leaks in an attempt to discredit Najib.

DAP MP Tony Pua on Monday, said he will instruct lawyers to initiate  legal action against Lester who named Pua and PKR’s Rafizi Ramli as co-conspirators in the claimed “1MDB mission” to remove Najib.
