KUALA LUMPUR, July 8 — A 51-year-old woman sustained arm and face injuries during a drive-by shooting near a traffic light in Sierramas, Sungai Buloh today.
According to Star Online, the victim, a church administrative officer, had stopped her car at the junction leading to the Sungai Buloh toll plaza around 8.30am when a man fired from a pistol after alighting from a motorcycle.
Sungai Buloh police chief Supt Junaidi Bujang was quoted as saying the woman underwent an operation at the Sungai Buloh Hospital and police were still trying to ascertain the motive behind the shooting.
He said investigations showed that two men wearing full-faced helmets on a motorcycle had stopped near the woman's car before the pillion rider got off the vehicle and fired at the right side of the car.
Supt Junaidi Bujang added that the case was being investigated for attempted murder.
