Guan Eng: Dr Wan Azizah's statement show PKR, DAP on same page

GEORGE TOWN, June 18 — PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s statement that Pakatan Rakyat no longer functions formally showed that her party concurs with DAP that the pact is dead, Lim Guan Eng said today

“Now, DAP and PKR is on the same page that PR no longer exists,” Lim said in a press conference at his office today.

The DAP secretary-general reiterated the party’s stand that PR ceased to exist the moment PAS decided to cut ties with DAP.

“We have stated our stand, as far as DAP is concerned, PR is dead so let this situation be fully understood by the rakyat,” he said.

He also agreed with Dr Wan Azizah that it is still business as usual at the Penang state government, now loosely governed by DAP, PKR and a sole PAS state assemblyman.

Yesterday, Dr Wan Azizah issued a statement that her party regretted PAS’ muktamar resolution to cut off ties with DAP as well as DAP’s declaration that their three-party partnership was over.

In light with these, she said it only means PR no longer functions formally but hoped the cooperation between the three former allies will continue in Selangor and Penang.
