KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 — Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), via KTM Intercity, will operate a shuttle service from JB Sentral, Johor Baharu, Malaysia to Woodlands, Singapore on July 1.

The service called Tebrau Shuttle will serve commuters running daily business between the two countries and reduce traffic congestion on the Johor Causeway.

A KTM statement said a total of 14 shuttle train services would be available daily of which seven are from JB Sentral Station and seven from Woodlands Station.

The shuttle from JB Sentral Station will start at 5.30am and end at 10pm while the service from Woodlands Station will start at 6.30am and end at 11pm.

The one way fare is RM5 from JB Sentral Station and SGD5 from Woodlands Station, said the statement.

The introduction of Tebrau Shuttle means that KTM Intercity train services such as Tren Rakyat (Butterworth-Woodlands), Tren Sinaran Selatan (KL Sentral-Woodlands), Tren Sutera (KL Sentral-Woodlands) and Gemas-Woodlands will end at JB Sentral Station.
