Pakistani tourist found murdered at Bandar Tasik Selatan

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — A Pakistani man was found dead, believed to have been murdered, in a flat in Bandar Tasik Selatan at noon yesterday.

Cheras police chief ACP Chong Kok Sin said Muhammad Aamir Afzal, 46, was found dead by his cousin who reported the incident to the police at 12.30pm.

“Muhammad Aamir was found dead in a low-cost three-room flat with the hands and feet bound with cellophane tape and telephone cord.

“No signs of stabbing were found on the body.

“An aluminum rod and a black bag containing syabu smoking equipment were found near the body,” he said in a statement here, today.

Chong said there were swelling on the face and body, believed due to beatings with a blunt object.

Muhammad Aamir was believed to have died at about 6am.

He was said to be playing cards in the living room with one of the tenants at 10.30pm yesterday.

The complainant said Muhammad Aamir came to this country on Friday for a holiday and was planning to visit Thailand. — Bernama
