KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 ― The male suspect recorded having sex with his partner on the balcony of an apartment in Bangsar South might have left the country, police said yesterday.

In a report by The Star Online, Brickfields police chief ACP Muhammad Azlee Abdullah said the police are still verifying his whereabouts.

“The longest you can stay in Malaysia is a month. But we don't know for sure if he's out of the country or not,” Azlee said.

Last week, Azlee said that further investigation revealed that the man was still in the country.

The case is being investigated under Sections 377D, 297 and 294 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

The 30-minute sex video went viral on social media after it was recorded by a tenant from another apartment nearby.
