Ops Warta: 8,946 traffic offenders surrender

KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — The total of traffic offenders with arrest warrant who surrendered during the current Ops Warta, which began on May 19, have hit 8,946 as of today.

 According to a Bukit Aman traffic branch report, Selangor contributed to the highest number with 2,267, followed by Johor at 1,979 so far.

Up to today a total of 1,790 offenders were nabbed for failing to settle their arrest warrants nationwide, of which 528 would be charged and 1,262 were given bail.

 The Ops Warta was implemented to track down traffic offenders who have warrants of arrest issued to them. — Bernama
