KLANG, May 21 — An Indonesian domestic helper claims that she suffered an ear injury and broke her tooth after being slapped by her employer several times for failing to find the blouse of her employer’s daughter on Sunday.

The 40-year-old housemaid yesterday lodged a police report on the incident, which occurred at her employer’s house in Bandar Botanic, here.

Klang Selatan district police chief, ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said preliminary investigation revealed that in the incident at about 6pm, the victim claimed that she was slapped several times which resulted in her injury.

“The victim was later taken to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR), here by her employer for treatment after suffering the injury.

“The investigation also revealed that the victim had been working for her employer (suspect) who is a housewife, and her businessman husband for about two years,” he said in a statement, here today.

Kamarul Zaman said, that following the police report, the 48-year-old female employer of the victim was detained yesterday and remanded until tomorrow. — Bernama
