KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — Police have found a knife which was believed to have been used by a 29-year-old religious teacher to kill a single mother of four in front of Sekolah Rendah Agama Kuala Kubu Baru, on Wednesday.

Hulu Selangor District Police chief Supt R. Supramaniam said the knife, which was strong evidence in the case, was found in Sungai Tua, Ulu Yam at 12.39pm today.

“The operation to look for the weapon included officers from the Malaysian Civil Defence Department, Fire and Rescue Department and the Orang Asli community,” he told Bernama here, today.

He said with the evidence found, police are confident the case can be solved.

In the Friday incident, Nur Salina Nazir, 34, who conducted an online business, was killed by her boyfriend in front of Sekolah Rendah Agama Kuala Kubu Baru.

Her body was found in the driver’s seat of her car with four stab wounds to the chest, left and right ribs and left arm.

In a follow-up to the incident at 9am, a religious teacher at the school was nabbed at his house in Taman Bukit Bujang, Kuala Kubu Baru after admitting to the offence because the victim often pressured him to marry her. — Bernama
