MARANG, May 5 — Hardcore poverty in Terengganu will be eradicated by the end of this year, said Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.

He said Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) was assisting the state government in the matter.

“Sometimes we do not get sufficient details on these unfortunate people and efforts to help them are also not very focused.

“So, I have set myself a Key Performance Indicator to end hardcore poverty affecting some 400 people in the state by the end of this year,” he told reporters here today. — Bernama
