KOTA TINGGI, May 3 — An Indonesian man who is believed to be involved in several house break-in cases while using ‘pukau’ (black magic) was detained in an operation around Taman Sri Saujana, near Ladang Foh Chong, here, recently.

Kota Tinggi police chief, Supt Rahmat Othman said the suspect, who was also an illegal immigrant, was nabbed after he resisted arrest although he was believed to possess black magic.

“Police also found several ‘tangkal’ (amulets) believed to be used for the house break-ins. The 27-year-old suspect did not have a valid document to stay in Malaysia,” he said in a statement released, here, today. — Bernama
