KUANTAN, April 14 — The police detained seven men for drug-related offences during two operations in Kuantan and Gambang yesterday.

Kuantan police chief, ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said today in the first arrest, a police team nabbed a 32-year-old man who tested positive for drugs.

He said the suspect was picked up at a roadside in Batu 11 here at 12.15pm.  About an hour later, the police nabbed an 18-year-old drug trafficker at a food stall in Taman Tas here and seized 26 methamphetamine pills from his bag. 

In Pekan, the police detained five men high on drugs at a palm oil plant in Paya Bungor here about 5pm.

Abdul Aziz said one of the suspects, aged 36, had a previous criminal record and was wanted by police in Pekan here. — Bernama
