KLUANG, April 11 ― A clerk was stabbed to death with a kitchen knife by her former fiancee at a supermarket car park, here yesterday evening.

Kluang OCPD ACP Mohd Roze Shaari said the incident occurred around 6pm when the victim, Nursyafikah Ahmad Ismail, 20, was working at the supermarket.

“It is believed that the suspect in his 20s had an argument with the victim before she fell and hit her head on a motorcycle after he pushed her. The suspect ended up stabbing Nursyafikah in her left rib,” he said when contacted.

Mohd Roze said jealousy was believed to be the motive of the incident when the suspect could not accept the fact that Nursyafikah from Felda Ulu Dengar here, got engaged to another man.

The victim died while receiving treatment at the Enche' Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital here.

Mohd Roze said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and the police were on the hunt for the suspect. ― Bernama
