PUTRAJAYA, April 4 — A 4-year-old girl sustained serious injury to the head after she fell from the seventh floor of a Civil Servants Housing apartment in Precinct 14 here, today.

Putrajaya district police chief, ACP Abdul Razak Abdul Majid, said the incident occurred at 3pm when the victim and her aunt wanted to take the elevator to the seventh floor of the apartment block.

“According to preliminary information the child first entered the elevator without her aunt and the elevator doors closed, the aunt ran up the stairs trying to catch up with the elevator, but on arriving at the seventh floor she found the child had already fallen,” he told reporters here, today.

Abdul Razak said they have yet to receive any official report over the incident.

It is understood that the victim was undergoing treatment at Hospital Serdang. — Bernama
