KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 — A six-year-old girl died after falling from the second floor of the Kenanga Wholesale City Mall here today.

The girl was believed to have been playing at the escalator when the mishap occurred at 3.04pm.

Dang Wangi police chief ACP Zainol Samah said the girl, Nurhayada Sofia Musa who came to the mall with her parents, died on the spot due to serious head injury.

“The actual cause of the incident is still under investigation. Initial probe found no signs of foul play,” he told Bernama when contacted.

Zainol said the case was classified as sudden death and the girl’s body was taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem. — Bernama
