KUALA LUMPUR, March 26 — The Royal Malaysian Police today announced the transfer and promotion of two senior officers effective today.

According to a statement from Bukit Aman, Johor police chief Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Sharif has been appointed as the new Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department director with the rank of commissioner of police.

Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department deputy director (operations) Datuk Rusli Ahmad, takes over as Johor police chief with the rank of senior deputy commissioner of police. — Bernama
