PM says MRT project is progressing well

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 ― Datuk Seri Najib Razak today said that he was pleased that the Sungai Buloh-Kajang Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line has been 59.5 per cent completed.

In his latest Facebook posting, Najib said the first phase of the project, the elevated section of the line from Sungai Buloh to Semantan is scheduled to be operational in December 2016 while the next phase in July 2017.

“This project will improve the transportation network for the 1.2 million residents in the Klang Valley,” he said.

Once completed, the Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT line covering a distance of 51 kilometres will have MRT 31 stations. ― Bernama
