KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 — The police have rubbished talk of an inter-racial clash involving the use of sharp instruments in Pandan Jaya here, as disseminated via WhatsApp recently.

Ampang Jaya police chief ACP Khairuldin Saad said no such incident occurred and that no report pertaining to the alleged incident was lodged.

“Pandan Jaya is peaceful and everything is under control. Life is normal and the public need not be afraid to venture out and go about their daily activities,” he said when contacted by Bernama here today.

He urged the public not to believe unfounded information.

“The public should also not share or disseminate unconfirmed information because this can worsen the situation.

“Please verify any information (received) with the relevant authorities,” he said. — Bernama
