Fewer flood evacuees at Perak relief centres

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 17 ― More flood victims have cleared out of relief centres (RCs) in Perak with the total number still at RCs at 666 people this evening as compared to 684 at midday.

However, there has been no change in the situation in Kelantan with 520 evacuees still at RCs, the same as in the morning.

In Perak, a National Security Council (MKN) spokesman said eight RCs remained open with 510 evacuees in Perak Tengah Hilir Perak (122) and Hulu Perak (34).

In Kelantan, an MKN spokesman said 12 RCs remained open with 490 people from 109 families still being sheltered in Kuala Krai and 30 people from eight families at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Temangan RC in Machang. ― Bernama
