Malaysian passport application fee reduced to RM200

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 15 — The application fee for the Malaysian international passport is reduced from today, according to the Immigration Department.   

Applicants aged 13 to 59 will only have to pay RM200 instead of RM300 for a five-year period of validity, said the department corporate communications division in a statement.

Applicants aged 60 and above, and 12 and below, as well as Haj pilgrims will only have to pay RM100, while it remains free for people with disabilities, it added.     

The statement said that the department was abolishing the applications for passports of two-year validity, obtained at a cost of RM100, with immediate effect. — Bernama
