Najib meets Thai counterpart to discuss flood matters

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak met Thailand’s General Prayuth Chan-ocha in Bangkok yesterday where the Malaysian leader thanked his Thai counterpart for flood contributions.          

They also exchanged perspectives on restoration and the Thai flood experience, according to a posting on Najib’s Facebook account.          

The flood situation in Malaysia has generally improved with the number of evacuees recorded at slightly over 61,000 this afternoon compared to over 200,000 people at the height of the flooding recently. — Bernama
