NIBONG TEBAL, Nov 30 — A pair of human arms and part of the left leg were found floating in an irrigation canal behind a petrol station in Simpang Ampat here, tonight.

Workers at the petrol station stumbled on the gruesome find about 7pm before alerting the police.

Penang Criminal Investigation Department head SAC Mazlan Kesah said the left leg was still in a pair of blue jeans and was similar to the right leg found in the canal in Jalan Kampung Permatang, Sungai Bakap here yesterday.

“We believe the arms and left leg are linked to the discovery of the right leg yesterday,” he told reporters at the scene here.

The distance between the arms and left leg found in Simpang Ampat, with that of the right leg in Sungai Bakap was three kilometres.

Mazlan said initial police investigations indicated that the arms and leg belonged to a foreign national, adding that they were sent to the Sungai Bakap Hospital.

Yesterday, part of the right leg from the knee to the foot, was found floating in the irrigation canal in Jalan Kampung Permatang. The leg was found not far from where the headless body of a man, arms and foot were found by villagers last Thursday. — Bernama
