KUALA TERENGGANU, Nov 18 — The number of flood victims evacuated in Kuala Terengganu has risen to 47 this morning compared with 20 people on the first day, yesterday afternoon.              

According to a statement from the State Security Council, the victims comprised 15 families who were evacuated from their homes in Chendering, here, and Gong Badak in Kuala Nerus which were inundated yesterday afternoon.            

Thirty-eight victims from 10 families are now staying at two relief centres at Sekolah Kebangsaan Cendering and nine victims from five families are staying at the Dewan Sivik Gong Badak.              

Meanwhile, the weather in Kuala Terengganu is cloudy with heavy rain occurring since last night. — Bernama
