KUANTAN, Nov 5 ― Seven women workers of an apparel store here lost about RM10,000 after being robbed by four men armed with knives in their rented house at Jalan Bukit Sekilau near here late Monday evening.

Earlier the women in their 20's had gone to town to celebrate the victory of Pahang squad in the 2014 Malaysia Cup, at the Darul Makmur Stadium compound here.

Kuantan police chief ACP Abdul Aziz Salleh said after the celebrations the women decided to walk home about two kilometres from the stadium, unaware they were being followed by four suspects on two motorcycles.

“As soon as they reached the house, the suspects dashed into the victims' house and robbed the women of their mobile phones and a laptop worth about RM10,000,” he told reporters here today. ― Bernama
