KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 — Malay Mail Online’s “Are Malaysians racist?” video is currently the most-viewed clip on YouTube, rocketing to the top of the Malaysian edition’s chart less than two days after it was launched.
The heart-warming video has now been watched over 256,000 times on the popular video sharing site, making it one of the fastest-rising clips on YouTube Malaysia.
It has also been viewed over half a million times in conjunction with the views on Malay Mail Online’s own video player.
The video and the accompanying interview has also been shared nearly 70,000 times on Facebook and retweeted across Twitter.
The video that features Malaysians of various ethnic groups being told to repeat derogatory statements like the “Malays are stupid”, “the Chinese are “pendatang” (immigrants) and the “Indians are smelly”, went viral the moment it was uploaded at on Monday.
It continues to win acclaim from a variety of newsmakers and luminaries for its anti-racism message.
