SINGAPORE, Sept 5 — A 27-year-old Malaysian man was arrested at the Woodlands Checkpoint on Wednesday for attempting to smuggle 1.93 kg of heroin into Singapore.

The man was stopped and searched by a K9 police officer and a sniffer dog as he arrived at the checkpoint, according to a report by Asiaone.

Narcotics officers then conducted a more thorough search and uncovered drugs in the man’s groin area and in the back seat compartment of the motorcycle.

A government spokesperson said the drugs seized are valued at S$135,000 (RM342,466) and could supply 920 drug addicts for up to a week.
