KUCHING, June 3 — Police today arrested two men including the man who knocked down a policeman before he escaped by jumping into the Sungai Sarawak in the incident on May 29.
Kuching district police deputy chief (Operations), Supt Fauzilan Abdul Aziz said the arrests were made at a hotel in Satok, near here, at 11.45 this morning.
“Acting on intelligence, a police team had raided a hotel in Satok and managed to catch two local men, aged 20 and 30 years.
“On interrogation, one of the men arrested admitted he was involved in the incident attempting to knock down the police during a ‘snapcheck’ by police cycling on Java Street last Thursday,” he said when contacted today.
