TELUK INTAN, May 31 — DAP’s Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud today alleged that Umno’s Pasir Salak MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman was seen walking at a voting centre here in a Barisan Nasional (BN) shirt, in violation of election rules prohibiting campaigning at polling stations.

The 26-year-old Teluk Intan hopeful said she and other DAP members, including Pasir Bedamar assemblyman Terence Naidu, witnessed the incident this afternoon at the SK Kg Bahagia polling station today.

“He was walking around,” Dyana Sofya told reporters outside the polling station here today.

An Election Commission (EC) worker and a few police officers, who did not want to be identified, said they did not see Tajuddin in the polling station.

“I didn’t see anything. Go and ask Dyana,” the EC worker, who was wearing a uniform, said when approached by The Malay Mail Online.

Party symbols and material are not allowed within a 50m buffer zone around polling centres on election day.

Just outside the polling station, a group of BN supporters jeered at a group of DAP supporters as the police watched.

Dyana Sofya is taking on Gerakan president Datuk Mah Siew Keong in a straight fight for the Teluk Intan federal seat in Perak today.
