KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 — MCA has lambasted DAP for what it described as the deplorable condition of the ‘Jalur Gemilang’ (national flag) hoisted at the party’s headquarters here.

MCA Publicity Bureau chairman Datuk Chai Kim Sen said that if DAP were serious about patriotism than politicking, it would have noticed the condition of the flag and replaced it immediately.

“While we recognise that DAP will want to protect and uphold its property and logos, DAP must explain why the equal level of respect is not accorded to our Jalur Gemilang — the highest recognisable symbol of Malaysia’s nationhood and sovereignty,” he said in a statement today.
