KUANTAN, May 14 — A woman riding pillion on her son’s motorcycle was killed when her baju kurung got entangled in its chain, causing the machine to skid and crash at 3km Jalan Simpang Pelangai-Simpang, Chemomoi near Bentong yesterday.

Azizah Jamaludin, 40, died on the spot in the 1.10pm crash. She sustained head and body injuries.

Her son, who sustained a broken hand, was treated at the Simpang Pelangai Health Centre.

State public order and traffic police chief Supt Mohamed Fauzi Abdul Rahim said today, Azizah and her son were on their way home from Simpang Pelangai when the incident occurred.

In another case, a security guard was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Jalan Kuantan-Kemaman near Beserah yesterday afternoon.

Wan Ismail Wan Musa, 56, died on the spot in the 6.25pm incident.

The body was sent to the Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan. — Bernama
