KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 — Port Klang is still recording the Air Pollutant Index (API) at hazardous level with reading at 317 as at 5pm this evening.
According to Department of Environment (DoE) website, Banting was also having very unhealthy air quality with API reading at 226.
Meanwhile, 12 areas with unhealthy API were Malacca city (113), Bukit Rambai (120), Nilai (138), Port Dickson (146), Seremban (130), Tanjung Malim (110), Kuala Selangor (119), Petaling Jaya (174), Shah Alam (162), Batu Muda (149), Cheras (128), and Putrajaya (140).
There were 18 areas with moderate API and 18 areas with good API readings.
API readings of between 0 to 50 are categorised as good, moderate (51-100), unhealthy (101-200), very unhealthy (201-300) and hazardous (more than 301).
