SEPANG, March 9 — Putrajaya refused today to reveal its immigration standard operating procedures following reports that several passengers on MH370 had boarded with stolen passports, saying it was not yet decided if there was any “security risk”.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, who was bombarded by reporters at Sama-Sama Hotel here with questions on the possibility of terrorism or hijacking, said that investigators are looking at all possibilities on how the Boeing B777-200 had gone missing for more than 24 hours.

“We see this tragedy as something that we can’t take lightly, whatever the possibilities.

“We are in touch with intelligence agencies, and counter-terrorism units from all the relevant units had been informed,” he told the scheduled press conference.

He added that “like it or not”, the nation’s main focus now should be on locating the aircraft and its passengers.
