SHAH ALAM, Jan 26 — A security force personnel fired several shots which hit a supermarket glass door in Port Klang at 4.45pm yesterday after a meeting with his wife at the premises.
South Klang police chief ACP Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the 45-year-old man
was suspected of having marital problems and had gone to the supermarket to discuss matters with his wife, 30.
The man had suddenly taken out the gun issued by his force and fired it, he said.
“There were no casualties however. The shots just hit the glass doors of the supermarkets,” he said when contacted here yesterday.
He said, the suspect then surrendered at the Port Klang police station and handed over a Glock gun and magazine of bullets, adding that he would be presented at the Magistrates Court tomorrow for a remand order.
The man’s wife has also been questioned to facilitate the case under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder and the Fire Arms Act, he said. — Bernama
