KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 — Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has urged the people of Kelantan, specifically in the districts of Jeli and Tanah Merah, to place priority on personal and family safety when facing the second wave of the flood.

The prime minister also reminded the people to be always responsive to any directive given by the authorities from time to time.

“I understand that several areas in Kelantan are inundated by floods for the second time. I believe, all will cooperate to ensure the welfare of flood victims are looked after,” he said in his latest entry on his Facebook today.

Kelantan is now back in the grip of flood for the second time this season when 897 people were moved in two districts in the state.

As of this morning, the number of flood evacuees has gone up to 1,050 people. — Bernama
