KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 8 — MERCY Malaysia will be organising community charity run “My Mercy Run 2014” to raise funds for the organisation and also to create an awareness on its humanitarian projects, on March  2, at Padang Merbok here.

Its honorary secretary Raja Riza Shazmin Raja Badrul Shah said the seven kilometre run which will kick off at 7am, is open to the public, and hopes to encourage the public in adapting a healthy lifestyle, both mentally and physically fit.

“The registration fee is RM60 and all the proceeds will be channelled directly to our general fund to replenish our emergency response equipments,” she said at the press conference here today.

She said Mercy targeted at least 2,000 participants for the charity run, which also offered a mystery gifts for creative tweets by participants at MERCY Malaysia’s Twitter  “@MERCYMalaysia” with the hastag #myMERCYrun.
