KUCHING, Jan 6 — Six schools in Sarawak are still closed due to the floods, says State Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah.
She said the six schools were Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Pegaging Subis in Miri, SK Kampung Klid/Plajau in Dalat, SK Nanga Nirok in Kanowit, SK Nanga Bon, SK Ulu Sungai Sengan and SK Sungai Salim in Sibu.
“The schools have to be closed until the Education Department announces otherwise,” she told reporters after opening the state-level ‘The Evolution of Creative Sewing’ exhibition and ‘Business Matching’, here, today.
However, she said pupils at the schools had to replace the days they took off due to the floods, when school reopened. — Bernama
