KUCHING, Jan 5 — Several areas here were hit by flash floods today after hours of continuous rain since 3pm.

The affected areas included Batu Kawa, Matang and Gita with roads under inches of flood waters.

However, the flood waters started to recede by 7pm and it was reported that no untoward incident happened during the flash floods.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted that the rainy weather will continue throughout Sarawak for a few more days. — Bernama
