KOTA BAHARU, Dec 29 —Two youths were arrested for possession of toy pistols in a raid on a shophouse in Kampung Kemumin, Pengkalan Chepa, yerterday.

Kota Baharu deputy police chief Supt Idris Abd Rafar said the suspects, both 19, were arrested at 2.30am after the police party found two toy pistols in a room.

“The silver toy pistol with the name ‘Dam Wesson’ contained six rounds of bullets while the brown pistol had a spent bullet,” he said when contacted, here today.

Other than for possessing toy pistols, the suspects were also believed to be involved in several housebreaking cases in Pengkalan Chepa.  The case is being investigated under Section 36 of Firearms Act 1960 for possessing firearms without licence. — Bernama
