KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 — Malaysia and Japan ties will continue to grow stronger through political and economic fields for the prosperity of people of both countries, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. The prime minister said since 1980s, Japan continued to become the biggest foreign investor in Malaysia which had benefited from Japanese knowledge and technology transfer.
“In the past four decades, the world has witnessed how the cordial Asean-Japan relationship has brought great changes to the region, especially Malaysia,” he said in his Facebook posting.
Najib is in Tokyo since Thursday for a four-day working visit in conjunction with the summit.— Bernama
