JPA4U launched to aid flood victims

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 9 — The Putrajaya Public Services Department (JPA) launched JPA4U today, and its first task is to provide assistance to flood victims in Kuantan.

Its director-general, Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal said JPA4U, which comprises 300 civil servants, had to date, provided assistance in the form of food, clothing and basic necessities.

“Today, about 30 JPA4U volunteers sent aid worth RM5,000 from donations collected from Putrajaya JPA members alone,” he told reporters after launching the JPA4U Humanitarian Aid here today.

On Wednesday, JPA4U sent food aid to 250 families in Bandar Kemaman.

Zabidi said the collection of funds or goods should be continuous to help flood victims rebuild their lives.

Hence, he asked department heads at all ministries to encourage the collection of donation from their respective staff, especially contributions such as school items as a priority, besides other requirements. — Bernama
