Former Kedah PKR chairman quits party

LANGKAWI, Nov 16 — Former Kedah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) chairman Datuk Wan Salleh Wan Isa has quit the party.

He announced today, that he was leaving PKR with immediate effect, and stepping down as Langkawi PKR chief.

Wan Salleh said he quit the party due to unhappiness with the top leadership which had omitted him on several matters, including in the selection of party candidates at the 13th General Election when he was state chief.

“I, hereby, declare that I am stepping down as Langkawi PKR chief and quitting PKR, with immediate effect,” he told a media conference here.

Wan Salleh resigned as Kedah PKR chairman on May 15. — Bernama
