SEREMBAN, Nov 13 — The Negri Sembilan state government will allocate another RM20 million for the trust fund to resolve the problems of the rakyat in the state.

Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the allocation was a supplementary allocation after the RM20 million allocated last year had been almost fully utilised.

“When we have the fund, it is easy for us to resolve the problems of the rakyat. When we have the fund, we can use the money if there is a natural disaster and so on, we have the fund which can be utilised without needing the approval of the Assembly (State Legislative Assembly) or any other approval.

“But if we don’t have the fund, it is difficult to channel aid to the overcome the problems of the rakyat. That’s why in the past, many problems faced by the rakyat could not be resolved as there was no specific fund that we can use to resolve the people’s problems immediately,” he told reporters here today.

He said the fund, which was created this year, was one of the measures by the state government to prosper the people. — Bernama
